Chenot Palace Weggis TCM consultation

Program approach

Chenot Recover & Energise programme aims to reduce stress, recharge the body’s all-natural energy and restore its vitality.

Starting from the pillar detox treatments of Henri Chenot, the programme is enriched with specialised clinically-proven and patented neuroscience technology. This technology provides stress relief and energises the deeper structures of the body.

As a result, the body restores its natural rhythms, reduces chronic stress, improves restorative sleep and mood, regains optimal energy levels and achieves full potential and overall wellness. Chenot experienced specialists will first conduct deep medical diagnostic tests for an accurate evaluation and optimisation of the treatments.

Meals included and nutrition

The Recover & Energise programme at Chenot Palace Weggis includes the Chenot Diet® - an important pillar of the programme.

What is the Chenot Diet®?
Haute gastronomy meets cutting-edge science. An essential component of the Chenot Method®, the Chenot Diet® is a pivotal intervention in your programme, promoting cell rejuvenation and resistance to disease. Informed by half a century of ongoing research, the diet is created by a talented team of creative chefs, food scientists and nutritionists to work in perfect synergy with your medical treatments.

The Chenot Diet® consists of three appetising, multi-sensory, reduced-calorie and plant-based meals a day, each precisely formulated to combine good fats, low glycemic index carbohydrates and limited amounts of plant proteins. This composition of food triggers the body’s fasting response whilst providing ample nourishment to the cells, stimulating the senses, and avoiding the unpleasant side effects and risks posed by strict, prolonged fasts.

This eating plan will activate important ancestral survival genes and molecular pathways that will inhibit cell proliferation and division, instead intensifying cell protection and defence mechanisms. Moving from growth to detox mode, your cells will then recycle and remove unwanted metabolic waste and will rapidly repair, energise and rejuvenate.

FAQs

These are the FAQs of the Chenot Recover & Energise program program.

You can find the Serenity Ways FAQs here.

Why is there a minimum programme duration of 7 nights? Why do I need to stay 7 nights when the program includes 6 days of treatments?

Chenot Recover & Energise 7-night programme has been designed and set accordingly to ensure your body has been provided with the minimum optimal time required to effectively adjust, detoxify and reset. Shortening the stay is not advisable as doing so will not provide the same level of impact based on the current scientific research. In order to fully benefit from the detox, your body needs to be completely relaxed. It is for this reason that Chenot does not schedule any treatments on both your arrival and departure day.

Can I book a longer programme?

You can book a longer programme for up to 14 nights.

If you desire a more extended stay, we can initially book a programme for 14 nights. Following a medical consultation in the middle of your stay, a decision between you and your consulting doctor can be made regarding the possibility of extending your stay even further.

Can I come if I am pregnant/breastfeeding?

The programme is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding mothers due to its strict low-calorie diet regimen. Pregnant or breastfeeding women require a balanced diet comprising all food groups and essential nutrients to meet their caloric needs adequately. While we may make modifications to the programme, including treatments and diet, to accommodate breastfeeding, it’s essential to recognise that the complete Chenot method experience may not be fully realised in such instances.

What do guests love most about this program?

The favourite experience of most guests during the Recover & Energise program usually relates to the following treatments:

Neuro-acoustic Deep Relaxation Treatment: using patented neuroscience technology, this treatment presents the brain with neurochemistry and auditory signals. By switching the nervous system from autonomic ‘fight or flight’ mode into parasympathetic system dominance, the body experiences deep relaxation and calmness.

HRV Biofeedback Self Training: combined with the results of the Stress Test (HRV Analysis), we use biofeedback training to improve breathing patterns, strengthening the parasympathetic nervous system, restoring calmness and relaxation into the body and boosting health and vitality.

Whole-body Photobiomodulation Treatment: photobiomodulation uses a combination of red and near-infrared light to relieve pain, relax muscles and joints and increase blood circulation. The treatment strengthens the mitochondria, the cells’ energy powerhouses, boosting energy production, promoting cellular metabolism and reducing inflammation. It is also beneficial in the management of mood and sleep related disorders.

What is usually the most challenging part in this program?

While detoxification can offer numerous health benefits, it’s important to be aware that it may also cause temporary side effects as your body adjusts to the changes. Some common side effects of detox programmes include:

Fatigue: initially, you may experience fatigue as your body expends energy to eliminate toxins and adapt to dietary changes.

Headaches: detoxification can trigger headaches due to caffeine withdrawal, dehydration, or the shift in metabolic processes where the fatty acids and certain ketogenic amino acids are broken down to derive energy.

Digestive issues: changes in diet and increased intake of fiber-rich foods can lead to digestive discomfort, bloating, or diarrhea. Constipation may also occur due to reduce food intake.

Mood swings: fluctuations in blood sugar levels, hormonal changes, or withdrawal from certain substances like caffeine or sugar may affect mood stability.
