FAQs

These are the FAQs of the Chenot Prevention & Aging Well program program.

You can find the Serenity Ways FAQs here.

Can I have a personalised programme? Can I select individual treatments instead of the programme?

Chenot programmes are fully personalisable. We advise clients to discuss any extra treatments directly with their Chenot consulting doctor on their first medical consultation.

Like other Chenot programmes, Prevention & Aging Well is the result of extensive research and Chenot holistic approach to wellbeing. It is designed to provide the optimal time for your body to adjust, detoxify and reset effectively.

This means that individual treatments can be performed only when following a valid programme. Following the medical consultation, adjustments can be made to the programme based on the guest’s specific needs, and additional treatments can be added à la carte as necessary.

Can I book a longer programme?

You can book a longer programme for up to 14 nights. If you desire an extended stay, we can initially book a programme for 14 nights. Following a medical consultation in the middle of your stay, a decision between you and your consulting doctor can be made regarding the possibility of extending your stay even further.

Is it possible to see a specific doctor or therapist?

Upon availability, Chenot can indeed accommodate the wish to be with a specific doctor/specialist.

What do guests love most about this program?

The favourite experience of most guests during the Prevention & Aging program usually relates to the following treatments:

Neurac Treatment: this is an effective treatment method for musculoskeletal pain and neuromuscular dysfunction by improving proprioception. Functional therapeutic exercises conducted in a suspension sling aims to improve physical functioning and restore pain-free movement patterns. Weaknesses and imbalances between muscles are corrected. Often immediate pain relief and improved function can be achieved.Hypoxic Exercise Training In

The Altitude Room: the altitude chamber simulates an elevation of up to 3,000 metres above sea level by reducing available oxygen levels. Exercising in these conditions advances the body’s aerobic metabolism allowing for more efficient use of oxygen for energy production. This improves endurance, speed, power and fitness levels and optimises metabolism for weight loss.

Whole-body Cryotherapy Treatment: not only a highly effective treatment for the reduction of chronic-inflammatory diseases, cryotherapy also benefits psychological enlightenment, performance and recovery, sleep and pain relief. Under medical supervision, the whole-body is progressively exposed at minus -110°C in the cold chamber for a maximum of 3 minutes.

Personal Training Sessions: working with one of Chenot’s dedicated sports and fitness professionals, a personalised fitness training programme is prescribed to improve health, fitness levels and weight loss, if necessary. Training sessions can include our state-of-the-art exercise facilities, aqua therapy in Chenot's 20-meter indoor pool, yoga studio and Body Balance routines depending on client’s needs and ambitions.

What is usually the most challenging part in this program?

While detoxification can offer numerous health benefits, it’s important to be aware that it may also cause temporary side effects as your body adjusts to the changes. Some common side effects of detox programmes include:

Fatigue: initially, you may experience fatigue as your body expends energy to eliminate toxins and adapt to dietary changes.

Headaches: detoxification can trigger headaches due to caffeine withdrawal, dehydration, or the shift in metabolic processes where the fatty acids and certain ketogenic amino acids are broken down to derive energy.

Digestive issues: changes in diet and increased intake of fiber-rich foods can lead to digestive discomfort, bloating, or diarrhea. Constipation may also occur due to reduce food intake.

Mood swings: fluctuations in blood sugar levels, hormonal changes, or withdrawal from certain substances like caffeine or sugar may affect mood stability.
