Many people believe that preventive health means giving up life’s pleasures, especially when we have to travel extensively for work, or want to enjoy the best holiday destinations with the family. The truth? It’s the opposite: your travel schedule can help you integrate healthy lifestyle and signals, if you plan for it. Certainly, too much travel and jetlag is not the ideal treatment for the body. But you can choose how you travel, where you recover from jetlag, when you disconnect and rest ... Ultimately, preventive health is not about restriction: it’s about intelligent planning that allows you to live fully, enjoy work and travel, and maintain long-term vitality.

The Art of Longevity Planning

Preventive health in practice is rarely only about hydration, mindful eating, movement, stress management and quality sleep: it would be far too simple, right? The real challenge lies in how you approach healthy lifestyle habits during life’s busiest moments: whether on business travel, a family holiday, or during seasonal transitions.

For me in particular, the challenge is to keep up with sport, meditation and nature immersion habits when I'm attending luxury hotel conventions (ILTM, Virtuoso Week, Synergy, La Crème de la Crème, Duco ...). The programmed meetings are often back to back from 9am to 6pm, followed by additional meetings to catch up with friends from the industry, then quickly changing before heading to drinks, dinner, networking party, more late night meetings. And that again for 2 to 5 days. Add jetlag to that, air conditionning and artificial light ... Feels as draining for the body! Fortunately, those conventions are also inspiring and energising thanks to the unparalleled exchange of ideas, trusted connexions built, etc.

The difference between weeks of fatigue and rapid recovery often depends on one choice: the right environment for renewal. I know which hotels are designed with circadian health in mind, which ones have a healthy menu, yoga mats in the rooms without having to ask for it, a natural park nearby where to reconnect with my roots, an incredible massage therapist to help the energy flow, a swimming pool to wake me up in the morning, or the healthy smoothie with seasonal fruits on the way from the hotel to the convention

Light, nutrition, and recovery-focused services can accelerate recovery and support peak performance.

Wellness Travel: The New Standard in Healthy Holidays

Most of my luxury hotel clients at Le Monde selon Victoire no longer see wellness as optional: it's a huge change compared to previous years. They now seek destinations where healthy lifestyle choices are built right into the experience. This means nutrient-rich, locally sourced dining, energizing activities and often real sport options when they exercise regularly (not just an underground room filled with Technogym equipment!), and access to advanced therapies like IV nutrient drips or tailored spa treatments.

Healthy holidays are no longer about “taking a break” from wellness—they are about investing in longevity while enjoying life’s best experiences.

Seasonal Wellness: Timing Your Reset

Preventive health also means aligning with natural rhythms. After the intensity of Fashion Week in Milan or Paris, what the body needs most is restoration. A strategically chosen wellness retreat at this moment is not indulgence, it’s preventive medicine. My clients love to combine Milan Fashion Week with a pre or post stay at L'Albereta, and Paris fashion week with a stay at Lily of the Valley. Before and after Cannes Festival, they spend a few days in the most discreet clinics in Switzerland. Before Cannes Lions, they digest jet lag at SHA Wellness Clinic and Palace Merano, often with adapted programs which allow them to work half day and enjoy the treatments and therapies the other half.

Clients are also increasingly aware of the natural timings of the year, and how the body needs to be listened to at times. More and more of my clients demand a spring detox, and it isn’t about punishing winter indulgence. It’s about clearing fog, boosting immunity, and preparing for the energy of a new season. This type of reset supports mental clarity and long-term vitality. Some of the favourite destinations for spring detox are Lefay Lago di Garda, and of course The Ranch Malibu.

Multi-Generational Wellness Holidays

One of the greatest opportunities my client look for when they try to combine time off with preventive health objectives, is wellness travel with their family. They look for destinations where children are engaged, teenagers are active (or at least don't pretend to be bored), and grandparents have access to world-class spa and health programs. That's not so common, but there are a few great destinations corresponding to this complicated request. Knowing about those healthy and fun destinations for multi-generational wellness travel is one of the qualities which makes Serenity Ways so unique.

When wellness is inclusive, family time becomes richer, those memories stay forever. A morning yoga class, a tailored nutrition plan, or a therapeutic treatment doesn’t compete with fun: it enhances it, leaving everyone more present and energized. And I'm not even mentioning the most-welcome digital detox that inevitably happens after a few days of letting go ...

My favourite places for multi-generational holidays are Palmaïa in Mexico, some Aman hotels, some Adler destinations, and many more (the photo for this post is at the One & Only Mandarina, a great choice for multi-generational healthy holidays!) ... and a few private villas where wellness resonates naturally (Morokuru, Intaaya, and many more) ! The Partnership Principle

We have been told over and over again that true preventive health was about willpower, avoiding sugar, watching our sleeping times, making concessions. I think it's rather about accessing to the right expertise, and planning accordingly. The best wellness travel advisors make healthy decisions effortless by connecting you with properties and retreats that balance indulgence with rejuvenation.

With expert guidance, wellness stops being another task and becomes a natural part of your lifestyle, whether during work trips, family retreats, or seasonal transitions. At least, that's what our clients at Serenity Ways appreciate the most about our expertise!

Luxury x Longevity

Modern luxury is precision, not excess. It’s choosing holidays that leave you glowing with vitality instead of exhausted. It’s selecting business travel that supports peak performance instead of draining it (I know I have to say no to luxury hotel conferences more often ...). Ultimately, it’s seasonal resets that feel restorative rather than restrictive.

This shift transforms preventive health into a curated lifestyle, one where wellness is intelligently designed, effortless, and deeply rewarding. Where you can be on your own when you need to, with your loved ones during family times, and even with your colleagues and work partners when you travel for business.

Effortless Preventive Health

Preventive health feels way easier when the right systems and partnerships are in place. With personalized guidance (contact us!), wellness becomes part of your schedule and routine, supporting longevity, energy, and enjoyment of life without rigid rules.

At Serenity Ways, we believe that the future of healthy living isn’t about perfection. It’s about creating a lifestyle where vitality, travel, and pleasure work in harmony. And with the right planning, that future begins today.
