The menus at The Retreat are based on an anti-inflammatory diet and healthy ingredients. They strive for 100% organic and fresh, with most of the produce grown in the very gardens of The Retreat.

The cuisine is mainly plant-based, but also serves local, sustainably raised fish, fowl, beef and lamb. It is grain free, dairy free and free of refined sweeteners. Each menu is chefs choice based on what is fresh, inspiring, and thoughtful.

The vegetable garden of The Retreat is on the south facing side of the crystal mountain where the hotel is built. The food is growing in the soil of crystal energy and is watered by the crystal infused spring water. Ask to walk the garden with the chef, or just peruse solo and put your hands in the dirt to feel the energy and give a little bit of love to the plants. Healing energy is give and take.

Guests also enjoy fresh healing herbs in their drinking water and the frescos, elixirs and even hand muddled cocktails.

The Retreat is perched on a crystal mountain where the energy is palpable the moment you arrive. The crystals bring to the surface of each guest, what needs to be addressed and healed, and it happens almost without thought or intention. The crystal magic works here all by itself and we are here to support.

The staff are magnificently authentic. As The Retreat owner Diana Stobo puts it: hire a person with genuine love in their hearts and care for the wellbeing of others, because you can train and teach the rest. A specific hospitality expert may or may not have the soul of an angel like The Retreat staff members do. At The Retreat, the team pays copious attention to the heart and soul of each staff member because they are part of the experience.
